Strangely enough, my grandmother looked alot like that old lady when she was alive.

Whatelse can I tell you, you ask? well... it was taken while strolling around the village areas a little ways away from the main area of a small town called Khajuraho. The sun had just risen, the fog was starting to burn off and people were just waking and warming up, crawling out of their tents. Very poor area. Carrying my camera around I quickly got a lot of attention, so candids were few. However, while many indians seemed reserved and against photography, there were many who WANTED you to take their photos, even if they know they'll never see them. Some for money, but many for pride? Many of them don't even have addresses to mail photos to. Anyways, while this woman, perhaps because she's of an older generation, probably thought negatively of my photgraphic intrusion, others in the village were quite eager to be captured on film. If you look at my gallery, you'll find another photo from this very same area with the whole family in the shot. At their request!

Shot was taken with a Tamron 28-200mm XR travel lens on Fuji Superia 400 film.
